… the beginning of the year opened with not one but four interviews, and straight off the bat garnered considerable readership from new and old fans alike.

We opened up with a biggest interview yet from Robbo Murray no less, who sat down with us to talk us through Stateside Airsoft, MilSim, gear, blasters and much, much more …
Without barely taking a pause for breath, we celebrated our 2nd anniversary with our original first two interviewees GH05 and GH07 from Gun Ho.
This was then hotly followed by a further quartet of interviews, including Florida’s G.S.R. and Kevgru from New Mexico, TeamMLD from the Netherlands and one of the original founding members of the ‘WannabeForums‘ Zero Positive.
This month we headed over to Italy, to interview and spotlight the fantastic reenactment group Marine Force Recon Italy, some of the most screen accurate kits we’ve seen all beautifully illustrated with exquisite photography …
… rounding out this month, and the end of this years anniversary celebrations not only saw the release of our now infamous Mk II ‘Beer Mat‘ S23 Familia patch, produced by none other than BritKitUSA – but a brief spotlight behind its origins and history …
Back from a brief hiatus, TheReptile House announced his return, with this, stellar, gargantuan interview.
… this was kindly reciprocated, with me being put under the spotlight – giving my top ten rundown of blasters featured on The Reptile House. This was the first of several collaborations between S23 and The ReptileHouse. I have know doubt, they’ll be more in the future …
… fresh off the field F23 from GrayFox gave us his own inimitable account, an AAR if you will of Combat Airsoft Groups ‘Op EagleFury‘ an event that took the scene by storm, MilSim was never to be the same again, we’d witnessed the birth of RealSim …
We opened with a collaboration with the blogs longtime sponsors, and friends – reviewing ToySoldiers incredibly authentic replica, or reproduction of the popularized LV MBAV, it certainly didn’t disappoint, surpassing expectations in fact.
Later in the month, whilst a huge departure in style and content, we graciously got to interview guitarist Jeff Pogan from HardcorePunk legends, the kings of Thrash/Crossover – SuicidalTendencies. As a lifelong fan from way back when this was not only a very proud moment, an honor, but a lot of fun too …
We steamed ahead with a veritable plethora of reviews, spotlights and interviews in what was one of our busiest months. Seeing a huge uptake in traffic. It was a truly profound moment.
Tribe MilSim, Stirling Airsoft and Florida’s S.O.G. all delivered great interviews.
This was rounded out by reviews on what was on our reading list, Elements IR functional LA5 and newly acquired USGI Multicam FR pants.
Just before we closed out the month, we spotlighted long time friend of the blog, Kevgru’sAirframe cover Ops Core helmet hybrid.
Again, fortune struck, offered the opportunity to appear on the hallowed pages of The Reptile House was too good to miss, and was quizzed on all things ‘PlasticDeth‘.

Hotly followed by an overview of all the exclusive S23 articles published thus far, monthly, in Airsoft International.
We concluded with yet another collaboration with The ReptileHouse – detailing preparation for the upcoming MilSim Op Darkwater. This saw two variants released across both blogs, a High Definition mix and rough demo form …
We returned with our AAR on the truly superb and memorable OpDarkwater. In good company, Voodoo, Spear and RCT 13 we spent 36 Hrs waging a truly immersive MilSim against the 90 + strong RusFor ‘The Bolsheviks‘
Sadly, due to technical difficulties not all interviews are completed, some remain incomplete in demo form, gathering dust possibly never to see the light of day. However, in this instance we salvaged what we could here to showcase the incredible VBSSFSBE gears of Norways Devil Norseman.
Also, not long off the back of OpDark Water, we interviewed fellow team mate on his return to MilSim
With the onset of Autumn, or The Fall as I prefer we opened up with a short piece on Ferro Concepts ludicrously named D*****r which I set upon renaming as the FC-MEDCP.
We then returned to business proper, sitting down with Militaria illustrator extraordinaire Marc Lee.
This was hotly pursued with an interview with Cobalts C02 who talked us through his new HAO416D PTW – this featured before and after, post Krylon exclusive photographs.
Thereafter, we dropped our report on the blisteringly explosive Ai500 ‘Op Lockdown’.
Rounding out the month with Pop Culture Crew Rogue Print Co.
Before sitting down with a long overdue interview with TemplarAirsoft’s Mike W.
We sat down and interviewed good friends, contemporaries and MilSim communications experts Tactical Associates.
Before smashing out a great interview with Swedens TF Hotel Sierra.
We finally rounded out the year with reviews of PIG’s new FDTMulticam Gloves
A spotlight on Level Zero HeroesMARSOC display at the USMC museum.
An absolutely astonishingly great interview on JW01’s UKSF gears. Which, I’m rather proudly pleased to say proved to be a real surprise hit with you the readers.
Christmas saw new gears arrive, and new reviews, here in the form of AKU’sPilgrim GTX boots.
Finally, our 100th article, rounded out by another excellent guest turn from LT07 on his ACT in BlackDTNVG’s.
So, as the year draws to a close we look forward to new interviews, reviewing new kit and gears and getting out to events and skirmishes. We’ll continue to publish not just content on here, but our exclusive articles each and every month in AirsoftInternational.
The Ai500 looms already on the horizon.
Not forgetting that in few months we celebrate our third anniversary, we are already working on several projects to celebrate the occasion.
